Get your grill on before the summer is over
That was a lovely long summer! The question is how much longer. That’s why today a few tips how to combine coffee and BBQ.
It is always a good idea, if you start early in the afternoon with the barbecue, to have an iced coffee or later in the evening a coffee cocktail with your steak. Here some recipes for you. But coffee is also great as an ingredient for anything that comes on the grill. That’s why today I have 2 recipes each for a coffee rub and a BBQ sauce.
Coffee Rub
- 1/3 cup medium ground coffee
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 chili pepper (fresh, gutted)
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 big garlic clove (peeled and smashed)
Mix well all ingredients and generously rub pork ribs, chops or vegan alternatives and let them soak before they come on the grill.
